One Headlight & 6th Avenue Heartache
The Wallflowers have produced and released many albums since its formation. Their bestselling album was Bringing Down the Horse released in 1996. It had songs such as One Headlight and 6th Avenue Heartache. This album was a game changer for the group after prior albums failed to make a mark in the music industry. The rock band worked hard between the year of 1996 and 2006 where they successfully released three more albums. They however decided to take a hiatus which would see them reuniting after 7years in 2012.They reunion resulted in yet another album release known as Glad All over.
The group’s road to winning Grammy awards was rocky. In 1997 they were nominated for three Grammy awards categories. During that year two of their songs got nominated for the Best Rock Song category. The other nomination was under the category of the Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. The nominations showed that the group was slowly making its presence felt in the music scene. They unfortunately never made it to the podium. Their hard work and consistency paid off in 1998 Grammy awards. One Headlight managed to win the award in the best rock song category.
Come and see the Wallflowers perform their two well known tracks, as well as other classic album cuts and a few new surprises at the Fallsview Casino on August 25th.
