Tracy Morgan in Concert

Tracy Morgan in Concert

Tracy Morgan is one of the world’s most renowned comedians that has an over-the-top personality that you can’t help and enjoy. He has gone through his fair share of ups and downs in recent times and as he would say *”I’m Back!”

Tracy Morgan’s Career Beginnings

Tracy Morgan was born on November 10th, 1968 in the Bronx. He got his start in comedic acting through his time on Saturday Night Live in 1996 and spent around 7 years on the show which is when he decided to start his own show in 2003 known as The Tracy Morgan Show. Unfortunately it wasn’t a huge success and he was able to find his new calling in 2006 through 30 Rock, a hit sitcom that included Tina Fey, a co-star from SNL. He was nominated for an Emmy in 2009 for his part in 30 Rock.

Unpredictable

One of the most iconic aspects of Tracy Morgan is the fact that many people see him as a “live wire” and he acknowledges the fact that he doesn't have a filter to separate what he says from what he’s thinking. He has always exhibited strange and unpredictable behaviour such as taking his shirt off during an interview and stating that “Someone’s gonna get pregnant”. He is also well known for the inappropriate comments that he made about Sarah Palin while she was a vice presidential candidate.

Tracy Morgan has been in a variety of feature films including Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Half Baked, A Thin Line Between Love and Hate, and Head of State. His character on Saturday Night Live was based loosely around his own personality which made it easier for him to portray. One example of this is when his character had to wear an ankle bracelet after being arrested for a DUI, much like Morgan himself.

Tracy Morgan Car Crash

The most recent news about Tracy Morgan stems back to a critical car accident on June 7th, 2014. A truck from Walmart crashed into his limo and it killed his comedian-friend Jimmy Mack. Morgan suffered from an extended list of injuries including broken ribs, a broken nose, a broken leg, and a head injury. After experiencing such a loss he filed a lawsuit against Walmart where a settlement was agreed upon and the company took full responsibility for the crash. He recently got married to Megan Wollover on the 23rd of August, 2015.

Tracy is beginning anew and is putting an increased emphasis on doing things that he enjoys; including Stand-up comedy. There’s a huge difference between seeing someone that wants to perform as opposed to some simply paying the bills. Tracy will bring his enthusiasm and undoubtedly new and interesting routines to the Seneca Niagara Casino on February 26th, 2016 for a night of comedy.
