An Early Rock Icon

With famous songs like Bye, Bye Love, Travelin’ Man, and Hello, Mary Lou, he kept teens in the 50s and early 60s rocking around the dance floor. He also starred in feature films, like Rio Bravo. Greats like Bob Dylan have cited him as an important influence. His influence has been so important that he has been inducted into both the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame and the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. He also has his own Golden Palm Star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars.

A Tragic Departure

After his teenage years, Ricky changed his name to Rick Nelson. He also has had a hit with a few cover songs, as well as Garden Party, in the 1970s. Sadly, he was killed in a plane crash in the 1985. But since then, his sons, Matthew and Gunnar, have helped to keep the Nelson legend alive. They have toured with internationally known bands, had platinum selling records, and now tour with Ricky Nelson Remembered. This show finally lets you relive all the great music you remember from Ricky’s younger years and more.
