The beautiful Fallsview Casino Resort is sure to bring attendees a one of a kind and memorable experience, as one of the greatest singers of all time, R&B legend Patti Labelle, will be performing live at the Avalon Theatre at the Fallsview Casino this upcoming July.
Patti LaBelle, also known by Patricia Louise Holte-Edwards, is an American singer, actress and author, best known for her storied 50-plus year career as a singer. She notably spent 16 years as the lead singer of Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles, later known as simply Labelle, who later went on to release the hit disco single, 'Lady Marmalade.' Labelle was also a part of the first African American group to play the illustrious Metropolitan Opera House and the first African American group to be featured on the cover of Rolling Stone.
She began her solo career in 1977 after Labelle disbanded, releasing her self-titled debut album. By 1984, she gained her first number one R&B single, 'If Only You Knew.' Later in the 1980s, she successfully crossed over to pop with various hit singles, such as 'Stir It Up' and 'New Attitude.' Labelle earned her first Grammy award for her tenth album, Burnin'.
By the 1990s, Labelle continued achieving mainstream success with albums like 1994's Gems and 1997's Flame.
Labelle is also an accomplished actress, having had several notable roles over the year. She notably played supporting role in A Soldier's Story, an Oscar nominated drama. She also had a recurring role on popular and acclaimed sitcom, A Different World. Labelle continues to guest star and participate in various television shows, with her most recent appearances including a guest starring role in American Horror Story: Freak Show and a recent stint on Dancing With The Stars.
R&B legend Patti Labelle will visit this upcoming July. Concertgoers will be treated with Labelle's performance of all of her chart topping hits, including 'When You Talk About Love,' 'New Day,' 'Oh, People,' 'Lady Marmalade,' 'On My Own' and 'New Attitude.'
