Norm Macdonald brings his unique brand of comedy to the Fallsview Casino Resort this July. Macdonald is best known for his 5 season stint on Saturday Night Live, including his hilarious, yet controversial role as a Weekend Update anchor, his one-hour special Norm MacDonald: Just Me Doing Stand-Up and stint as host of Comedy Central's Sports Show with Norm Macdonald. Showgoers will be awed by Macdonald's unique brand of comedy live and in person.

History

Norm Macdonald, born Norman Gene Macdonald, is a Canadian-born stand up comedian, writer, actor and producer. Macdonald is best known for his 5 season stint, as a cast member, on popular comedy-variety show, Saturday Night Live. Besides doing various impressions of pop culture icons of the 1990's, Macdonald notably played anchor to SNL's popular Weekend Update for three years.

Early in his career, he wrote for popular sitcom Rosanne and eventually made appearances on other notable 90's sitcoms, NewsRadio and The Drew Carey Show.

Career Accomplishments

Macdonald is best known for his 5 season stint on Saturday Night Live, including his 3 year role as a Weekend Update anchor. Following his departure from SNL, Macdonald went onto appear on various programs, including doing voice over work, in addition to starring in his own show, The Norm Show from 1999 to 2001. He also participated in various poker events, notably hosting High Stakes Poker on the Game Show Network.

Nowadays, Macdonald continues to perform stand up comedy and make guest appearances on various programs.
