Musical Lineup Revealed For New Year’s Eve 2019 Celebration in Queen Victoria Park!
Ring in 2019 with Burton Cummings, The Sheepdogs, Walk Off the Earth, and Avenue Inn.
The annual Niagara Falls New Year’s Eve event in Queen Victoria Park is one of Canada’s longest running New Year’s Eve celebrations, featuring a free concert, two fireworks shows, food and beverage vendors, and more. This year’s festivities kick off at 8pm.
This year’s outdoor concert features an amazing all-Canadian lineup of musicians including The Sheepdogs, Walk Off the Earth, Niagara-based Avenue Inn, and headliner Burton Cummings. This totally free event will feature two fireworks shows over Niagara Falls, at 9pm and midnight, along with an outdoor licensed area.
Here’s what you need to know about this year’s performers:
Celebrated Canadian musician Burton Cummings is widely known as the lead singer and songwriter of The Guess Who and for legendary solo hits like “Stand Tall” and “My Own Way to Rock”. He was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2016 and continues to tour around Canada and the United States.
The Sheepdogs are a multi Juno Award-winning retro rock band from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In 2011, they became the first unsigned band to make the cover of Rolling Stone magazine and went on to release six studio albums and a number of popular songs like “I Don’t Know”, “Feeling Good”, and “The Way It Is”.
Walk Off the Earth
Walk Off the Earth is a Burlington-based indie pop band known for their creative music videos of covers and original songs, one of which features all five members of the band simultaneously playing one guitar. The band won the 2016 Juno Award for Group of the Year, has appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, and has gone on to release a string of successful original songs.
Avenue Inn is a Niagara Falls based alternative rock band that was named Band of the Year at the Niagara Music Awards and released a brand new album called “Tonight”.
