International Dancing Hit
The intent of Michael Flatly’s Lord of the Dance was to take the musical concept which had normally been constrained to theater stages and instead bring it to wider audiences in concert venues and stadiums. The result is a larger than life performance that changed the way people thought about musicals. It brought a relatively unknown genre of dance, Irish Dance, into the spotlight. It is this revolutionary forward thinking by Michael Flatly that has kept him relevant over the years. Not afraid to challenge the status quo, Flatly will surely go down in the record books as one of the most innovative choreographers of his time.
