March 12th, 2016: King of the Cage Brings a Night of Thrilling Action to New York

Niagara Falls MMA fans (on both sides of the border) have been clamouring for exciting fight action for some time, and one of today’s leading promotions—King of the Cage—is happy to give them what they want.

On March 12th, 2016, the promotion will head to the beautiful Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls, New York. The Seneca Niagara Casino has long been known for providing some of the best entertainment and relaxation around; now, things just got a whole lot more interesting, with the announcement of a thrilling MMA event.

Such an important début deserves an important card, and that’s just what KOTC has provided fans with. From top to bottom, this is an outstanding show.

Outstanding MMA Fight Card

The high-quality action starts in the featured bout of the night, where female fighters Janice Meyer will battle Taylor “The Queen of Mean” Turner in a 130lbs catchweight contest.

Training and fighting out of New York, Meyer is sure to have her hometown crowd behind her— a support system that will do well to propel her to provide some of the thrilling action she’s known for.

But just because Meyer is fighting in front of her local fans doesn't mean she’s guaranteed to win; Taylor “The Queen of Mean” Turner will see that she’s given a tough fight.

Turner has taken a serious approach to the “finish or be finished” mentality widely seen during the sport’s Pride days. Win or lose, she will lay it all down on the line, and in each of her three professional fights, she has secured a stoppage or been stopped.

Next, the co-main event will switch gears to the men’s light heavyweight division, where Donnie “The Diamond” Wonch will lock horns with Jabril Patterson—both are undefeated finishers.

Wonch has done well to earn his nickname of “The Diamond”, as the undefeated knockout artist has devastated his last two opponents via first-round KO.

But someone’s “0” has to go, as Wonch is locking horns with another undefeated striker: Jabril Patterson. Patterson has won three of his last four bouts via first-round knockout, defeating one opponent in just ten seconds!

This is an outstanding fight that’s sure to have implications on the light heavyweight landscape of tomorrow.

KOTC Niagara Falls Main Event

In the main event of the night, two skilled featherweights will throw-down for the fans and for the win: Charles “Krazy Horse” Bennett and Matt “The Cat” DiMarcantonio.

Bennett fights and trains out of American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida, and really has honored his nickname inside of the cage. The veteran of over fifty professional fights charges towards his opponents and throws bombs with bad intention.

In addition to holding 17 of his 27 career wins via knockout or TKO, Bennett has finished K.J. Noons and Yoshiro Maeda via knockout. He’s been competing against some of the biggest names in the sport and kicking ass since 1999, and Bennett simply doesn’t plan on stopping here.

But he is faced with a talented and skilled young fighter in DiMarcantonio.

The up-and-coming DiMarcantonio is looking to achieve some in-cage consistency, after encountering vicious opponents like Desmond Green and Rob Font. The grappling and ground specialist possesses the ability to end any fight within seconds of reaching the mat—and that’s exactly where he’ll want to get the contest against Bennett.

The young and skilled fighter on the rise who specializes in grappling versus the seasoned veteran with a love for the knockout: this is an awesome main event.

And an awesome card as a whole. The New York MMA fans are once again in for a real treat here. There are also other fights being added to the card, and Jason “Ba Bu” Trzewieczynski and Brendan Fang will be competing at the event.

Tickets start at just $35, and simply put, the action that King of the Cage will bring on March the 12th cannot be missed by anyone who is a fan of MMA—or fighting.
