For several decades, Donny Osmond has been entertaining the world in a variety of forms. He has delighted audiences as a member of The Osmonds, as the second-half of a legendary brother/sister duo with sister Marie Osmond, and certainly as a solo artist. Donny Osmond has been touring, performing, and recording since the early 1960s. Today, at age fifty-eight, this peerless entertainer shows no signs of slowing down. Donny Osmond will be coming to Niagara Falls in January, 2017.

Donny Osmond Biography

A former teen idol, Donny Osmond has assumed a variety of roles over the years. He has worked as a singer, a recording artist, a talk show host, an actor, a radio personality, a game show host, and even as a record producer. However, through all of these jobs and guises through the years, one thing has remained the same: Donny Osmond knows how to entertain an audience. Few entertainers can claim to have the kind of longevity he has enjoyed, particularly as a part of the Donny and Marie Osmond duo, as well as the time he has spent as a solo act.

Even today, he continues to enjoy considerable success on a variety of levels. In addition to his continued commitment to touring and recording, he has also found the time for other ventures. Winning the ninth season of the massively popular Dancing with the Stars is still fresh in a lot of people’s minds.

There is no question that Osmond has come a long way from his teen idol years. The 1980s proved to be particularly challenging for Osmond, in terms of establishing as an artist whose audience could be over the age of eighteen. By the end of the decade, he was working with the likes of Steven Machat and Peter Gabriel. These collaborations and others led to a number of chart-busting hits, including “Soldier of Love” and “Sacred Emotion.” By the start of the 1990s, Osmond established himself as his own unique entity. He continued to work closely with Marie Osmond and other members of the family, and he also managed to maintain a solid, successful solo career. Eventually, he returned to classic hits like “Go Away Little Girl.”

He has taken on acting jobs, producing gigs, and even radio hosting duties. However, his first love clearly remains firmly rooted in music.
