Singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk released albume Plain Jane in 2009– a well-received album, but followed by a quieter period of solo material for the Canadian musician marked only by a live album and cameos for other artists like Drake and Jay Rock.
That changed earlier this year, with the release of Kreviazuk’s latest album Hard Sail – a remarkably different composition to the softer and jauntier melodies of her earlier career, infusing her unique vocals with jazz styling and a new kind of rawness indicating the emotional discoveries Kreviazuk has made in the past few years. And she will be bringing this approach, along with classic hits, to Niagara Falls this November.

This emotive approach and multi-layered song composition isn’t new for Kreviazuk’s music, however. A trained classical pianist and guitarist, she’s always had a gift for mixing simple melodies with heartfelt lyrics and emotional connections; it’s this earnest approach that had made her so beloved as a musician, especially in her native Canada.

Chantal Kreviazuk Tour
Chantal Kreviazuk is currently touring across Canada, and in November 2016 she’ll be playing for one night only at the Scotiabank Convention Centre as part of the 2016/17 Niagara Concerts series. As 2016 happens to be the 20th anniversary of her first album’s release, the lone performance on November 19 is expected to pull a big crowd. If you can still get a ticket, it’s an unmissable show.
