The 3 Doors Down rock band hailed from the small town of Escatawpa, Mississippi, and can be remembered for their hit singles with the most outstanding being "Kryptonite," "When I'm Gone," and the ballad "Here Without You.” They reached their peak in the 2000’s with the song "Kryptonite" catapulting them right into the limelight.

A Biography of 3 Doors Down Rock Band
The band was established in 1996 with its original members being a group of high school friends. There was Brad Arnold who was the vocalist and drummer, Todd Harrel, who was the bass guitarist, and Matt Roberts, the guitarist. Later, they were joined by guitarist Chris Henderson, and much later by drummer Richard Liles. Richard Liles played drums for the band during their tours that promoted their first album and Daniel Adair played drums during their tours from 2002–2005. They performed in over 1000 shows worldwide after they released the album “Away From the Sun” that was a great success.
The Band’s Developmental Years
The original band members were Brad Arnold, Todd Harrell, and Matt Roberts and they made tours around the Mississippi while also venturing outside the region. During this time, they gave themselves their official name. Chris Henderson then joined the band and they produced the song "Kryptonite,” with the song becoming a number one requested song at a local radio station for over 15 weeks. The band was then flown to New York and they were signed by Republic Record.
Popularity From 1999 to 2010
In 2000 their first Album “The Better Life” was released and became the 11th bestselling album of the year with more than 3 million copies sold. Other singles followed and their second Album “Away From the Sun” was released in 2002 and 4 million copied worldwide were sold. They also released a music video “When AM Gone” abroad the USS George Washington. The band continued to experience success through the years and also played with many other leading musicians.
2014 To Present Day
In 2014, the band released another album titled Phoenix New Times and also went on tour around the United States. In February 2014, Todd Harrell was arrested for a DUI for a second time and the band suspended him indefinitely. The band continued to perform on tour with Justin Biltonen and released a new album titled “Us and The Night.”
