Summer is drawing to a close and to celebrate the end of another amazing season in Niagara Falls, Niagara Parks will be hosting the Rumble at the Falls event on August 19th at 7:30pm, which celebrates Indigenous music and musicians with a live concert in Oakes Garden Theatre.
This live music concert will reveal the significant contributions Indigenous musicians have made to North American popular music. Rumble at the Falls features award-winning musicians performing songs that tell the story of Native contributions to roots, blues, jazz, folk and rock music genres.
To start off the concert Drums Across Niagara a special program designed by Michele-Elise Burnett, where two Indigenous drum groups, one on the Canadian side and one on the American side, will alternate playing traditional songs across the Niagara Gorge and the international border in a spirit of unity and friendship.
The show will feature great musicians like Juno award-winner Derek Miller, singer-songwriter Mark LaForme, jazz singer Juliet Dunn, jam band The Ollivanders, and many more.
