Niagara Falls New Year’s Eve 2016 was an outstanding success, as over 20,000 packed Queen Victoria Park to take part in this historic celebration.
New Year’s Eve marked the official kickoff of Canada 150, a year long, country wide celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday.
Niagara Falls New Years Eve Fireworks
Two Niagara Falls New Years Eve Fireworks displays took place; one at 9:30 and the larger display at midnight.
Niagara Falls New Years Musical Entertainment
The evening officially began off at 7:30 with a local band ‘James Blondie’.
Fast paced country music sensations High Valley then took the stage, firing up the crowd with a collection of their recent top 10 hits. After a break for fireworks the evening continued with international music star Serena Ryder. Ryder, known for hits Stompa & What I Wouldn’t Do, played classic hits and new tracks off her upcoming album.
Headlining act The Sam Roberts Band took the stage at 11:30, playing until 12:30, with a break in-between to celebrate the New Years countdown and grand Fireworks display.

Building upon the continuing success of this event organizers have promised that Niagara Falls New Years Eve 2017 will be the biggest production in the history of Niagara Falls New Years!
