Another great place to experience the horse and carriage ride is at the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens on the Niagara Parkway. With 99 acres of lush greenery and botanical beauty, an elegant horse-drawn carriage ride offers wonderful views of the gardens transporting you back in time when life was more relaxed. During the 40 minute, fully narrated tours, you can listen to the wonderful commentary and history about the place while enjoying the views of the rhododendrons, azaleas, herb and vegetable gardens, perennial plants and especially the rose gardens with over 2000 roses. These tours run from May to October from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Prices are per person and not per carriage and rides are free for children under 5.
