The 2016 New Years Eve Celebration in Niagara Falls draws a crowd—expected to be a big crowd ranging from 50,000 – 60,000. With the stage located in a small section of Queen Victoria Park, navigating to a good vantage point can be difficult for a first time visitor. Below we’ll share two of the easiest foot paths to great vantage points of the New Years Eve Concert and Celebration.
New Years Eve at Queen Victoria Park
Murray Street #1
The Murray Street entrance takes visitors to the back portion of the park. This area of the park includes access to the adult tents that include alcohol service, as well as many of the Winter Festival of Lights displays. From this entrance, visitors can continue to walk up towards the stage without having to deal with too big of a crowd.
Murray Street #2 - near the Niagara Parkway
Along the highlighted section of the Niagara Parkway sits a number of food trucks, offering a variety of food options, and warm drinks such as hot chocolate and coffee. This entrance point offers immediate access to a side stage vantage point. Once entering this area it’s advised to work your way into the crowd a bit, and enjoy the festivities.
Other routes, such as entering Queen Victoria Park from entrances near Clifton Hill are much more difficult and traffic heavy. By using the two routes we've outlined in this article entering and enjoying Niagara Falls Canada’s New Years Eve Celebration in Niagara Falls will be much easier, allowing you to focus on the great event instead of the semantics of moving about.
