The Niagara Food and Wine Expo is one of our favourite events of the year. It marks the beginning of the Niagara region’s growing season and all the excitement that goes along with it. The Expo features local wines, good food, and this year, there will be a wide variety of great craft beer from around the world.
This year the Niagara Region will be making a strong appearance on the beer front with both Silversmith Breweries and the Niagara College teaching brewery. Silversmith is rather new to the Niagara Region beer scene, so this should be exciting to sample their hops concoctions.
Some more brands that will be featured at the Niagara Food and Wine Expo include the Highlander Scottish Pale Ale, which is a medium bodied beer with caramel and fresh fruit aromas, and notes of coffee and chocolate. At the Expo, you can also try Fruli fruit beer, made with fresh strawberries and orange peel. But if fruit isn’t your favourite flavour for beer, then maybe you should try Leifman’s blended Belgian beer, which uses a unique blending process where brewers blend aged craft beer with new, sweet beer to create a deliciously refined brew.
If you’re ready to enjoy not only delicious and unique craft beer, but also international wines and delicious culinary creations, then mark your calendars for April 26th - 28th to join us at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, Ont.
