The Marriott on the Falls is at the heart of the action in Niagara Falls no matter the season, but offers incredible access to the winter attractions in Canada’s tourist hot spot.
Those winter attractions are on the verge of getting that much better with news the city is pursuing a Red Bull Crashed Ice event. Similar to ski cross on skates, Crashed Ice sees four athletes in hockey gear (minus the stick) race down a 350-metre icy track. It’s not uncommon for speeds in excess of 70 km/h to be reached.
If the city is successful in attracting Crashed Ice, it will become part of the famous Winter Festival of Lights.
