Hockey Helps the Homeless

Hockey Helps the Homeless

Hockey Helps the Homeless is a unique charitable effort that gives you a chance to feel like a pro hockey player.

The one-day tournament, coming to Niagara Falls for the first time Jan. 27, is designed to treat you like a pro for the day. More than 100 former NHLers have participated in Hockey Helps the Homeless tournaments over the past 15 years, skating alongside recreational players who are doing their part to raise funds and awareness about homelessness.

Hockey Helps the Homeless dresses you like a pro in a personalized jersey, allows the opportunity to play three games alongside retired NHLers and gives you a pro-style hearty lunch between games with beverages in the dressing room and on the bench. The pro experience also includes first aid supplies, tape, pucks and water bottles in every dressing room with a fabulous silent auction featuring valuable prizes and one-of-a-kind memorabilia.

The day finishes with a formal reception that includes a great dinner as participants are treated to some words of encouragement from notable guest speakers.

Complete the pro experience by booking yourself a room at the Marriott on the Falls —  staying in a hotel on a road trip just like the pros do!

Niagara Falls, one of only six cities to host a Hockey Helps the Homeless Tournament, is expected to host 10 teams at the Gale Centre on January 27, raising funds for The Raft, Bethlehem and YWCA Niagara.
