Château des Charmes sits in the middle of Niagara wine country. The estate has been in operation since 1978 and is operated by the Bosc family, a prominent winemaking family that’s been in the business for generations.
The estate, an eye-catching traditional French château, was amongst the first in the region tailor-built for with the visitor in mind. Various tour programs are regularly on offer, tailored for specific tastings at the end of the program – so guests can determine if they’re interested in the general process, or they want the icewine experience, and so on.
The château produces a large variety of wine; in-fact just about anything that can grow in the fertile soil of St David’s Bench. Sparkling brut, cuvée, Gewurztraminer, gamay noir – along with all the regular staples like riesling and cabernet franc. And, of course, a range of vidal icewines.
The estate prides itself on giving guests a wonderful experience, and its prestige in the region speaks for itself.
